History of Cootehill Celtic GAA Club
Famous Celts
Hughie O'Reilly
Cavan has won the Sam Maguire Cup 5 times in 1933, 1935, 1947, 1948 and 1952. Only one man was involved in all 5 wins – two times as a player in '33 and '35 and three time - '47, '48 and '52 - as a Manager – Cootehill Celtic’s own Hughie O’Reilly. Our club grounds in Church Street, Cootehill are named after him.
