Owing to the large crowd expected for Saturday's All-Ireland Qualifer First Round Doubleheader in Kingspan Breffni Park, Cavan County Board in co-operation with An Garda Síochana have put in place a traffic management plan in an effort to assist all patrons.

Cavan will take on Longford at 5pm while the mouth-watering clash of Meath and Louth throws-in at 7pm and that game, a repeat of last year's Leinster Final, is also live on RTÉ 2.

The following advisements and information should help to keep things running as smoothly as possible.

Allow plenty of time to complete your journey safely.  High traffic volumes are expected on all routes, particularly in towns and built up areas.

Patrons travelling from Longford are advised to consider using the R198 passing through Drumlish, Arva and CCavan v Longford throw-in at 5pm this Saturdayrossdoney accessing the grounds from the Hospital side of the town. Obviously the N55 is still available to Longford patrons through Granard and Ballinagh, however you are advised to avoid the by-pass which may become congested with traffic travelling to the Louth V Meath game.

Patrons travelling from Louth are advised to consider travelling through Carrickmacross, Shercock and Cootehill. This will avoid the expected congestion along the N3. There are two grounds approach options available from this side of town. Either (a) follow signs for Dublin and access the by-pass or (b) continue directly in to the town center where there is ample carparking available.

Patrons travelling from Meath are advised to, where possible, consider travelling through Oldcastle, Ballyjamesduff or Oldcastle, Kilnaleck. This will ease the expected congestion along the N3. Patrons using these approach routes can access the grounds from the N55 or the  by-pass system. Obviously the N3 is still available to Meath patrons.

Parking is available on the approaches to Kingspan Breffni Park and along the Cavan By-Pass. A numbeMeath v Louth at 7pm in Breffni this Saturdayr of supervised carparks will be available along the N3 and beside the Dublin Road round-about on the Butlerbridge side. Follow signage and obey the instructions of the Gardai and Stewards.

Drivers of vehicles are requested not to obstruct entrances to estates, driveways or park on green areas. Illegally parked vehicles will be towed away.

Kingspan Breffni Park is located in a residential area.  Cavan County Board requests all supporters to respect the privacy of all residents in the vicinity of Kingspan Breffni Park.

After the game a one way traffic system will operate for traffic exiting the grounds.  Traffic exiting Breffni Park Lane must turn right and will be directed towards the Cavan by Pass at the Tractamotors Junction. Traffic exiting the grounds via the town end gate will be directed towards Cavan town to exit the town via Railway Road or Farnham Street.
