Risk and Hazard Audit: Hugh O'Reilly Park

At the 6th  July Committee meeting, it was decided that three persons (Larry McCluskey, Bernie Walshe & Paul Deery) would conduct a risk/hazard audit of club property and then report back to committee’s August meeting.

Towards that end, would you please make a list of all hazards you can identify under headings below, grading each as “A” = major; “B” = medium; or “C” = minor - from the point of view of danger to members, workers or visitors.

The committee will then undertake the necessary repair & maintenance work, starting with the “A”- list.  Look at -

• Boundaries, gates, walls – Are they safe & secure?

• Car-park – any hazards there? Disabled access/parking?

• Stand – roof, wall & seats – Any danger to spectators?

• Terraces/steps – same question/issue? Disabled use/safety?

• Pitch & surrounds – Re: Adults, Underage, Officials, Spectators

• Black training area & approach thereto – Any hazard?

• Dressing-rooms – Think of all users: Adult/Youth, male and Female, home/away, abled/disabled; all areas, showers, toilets

• Shed/store – upstairs & down? – uniform/materials/equipment

• Any other hazard/dangerous thing or practice that needs attention/correction/change?

Please complete your list over next 21 days & give to Larry or email to pro.cootehill.cavan@gaa.ie and a list will be combines all for a report to the committee.
