Cootehill Celtic GAA Club Notes - 29th March

SENIORS

The Seniors opened their Division 2 league campaign with a great 12 win over an understrength Knockbride side. The Celts stormed into an early lead and never really let the visitors to Hugh O'Reilly Park back into the game. Final Score: 2-14 to 8 points. Check out our website for full match report. Knockbride conceded the Junior fixture so Cootehill get the points. Next up for both sides is the long trip away to play Shannon Gaels this Sunday with the Junior game starting at 2pm and Seniors at 3.30pm

MINORS

The Minors were beaten by the narrowest of margins on Saturday in their league clash against Laragh United in PJ Duke Park, Stradone. Unfortunately a poor first half saw the young Celts 4 goals adrift at the break but an amazing turn-around in the second half almost saw them snatch a draw but they just ran out of time in the end. Final Score: Laragh 4-11 Cootehill 3-13.

Check out our website for a full match report. With one game left away to Kildallon, a win still could see Cootehill reach the semi-finals.
