UCD enjoyed a four point win over Laois in the first round of the Josh’s performances for UCD, in particular versus Dublin in the O’Byrne Cup, earned him a much deserved call-up to the Cavan Senior squad by then manager Val Andrews. Josh caught the headlines in January of last year with UCD as he scored a last minute goal to beat Meath in what was Banty McEneaney’s first game in charge of the Royals. Well done again to Josh and best of luck to himself, his clubman John McCutcheon and the rest of the Cavan squad as they take on 2011 Ulster Champions Donegal in the first round of the Ulster Championship this Sunday in Kingspan Breffni Park at 3.30pm
