Cootehill Celtic's premier team finished in the middle of the 2010
Division 2 league table.
While a one point win over Killinkere and a draw with Bailieboro was
enough to earn a quarter final place against Drumalee. Unfortunately
they met a strong Drumalee team, who went on to win the championship,
and the Celts crashed out after a one point defeat.

Junior Team

Juniors before Drumgoon Junior League Game - 24th April

The Junior side showed great improvement in the past 12 months from
the previous year. They narrowly missed out on a League Semi-final place
by just one point.
Ray McCaul and Jason O'Connor were the joint Captains for 2010.

Under 21s

Under 21s before Division 2 Championship Final - 7th November

The Celts played in Division 2 of the Under 21 championship and had
an amazing win over Drumlane in the Quarter final and were handed a
bye in the semi-final after Shannon Gaels conceded. They faced
a strong Ballyhaise team who ran out clear winners in the final but
it was a great achievement to reach the first final at this grade in
20 years
Minors
After being unable to field a team in the league, Cootehill joined
with Drumgoon for the championship. The Éire-Óg Celtic
side took part in the Division 2 and won the championship, beating
Blackwater Gaels in the final
Under 16s

Under 16s before Championship Game v Shannon Gaels - 14th
July

The Under 16s played in Division 4 of the league this year and had
some
great performances but narrowly missing out on a semi-final place.
After conceding a couple of late goals to Shannon Gaels, a young Under
16 team was narrowly defeated
in the first round of the championship. This defeat saw them entered
into the Shield competition where they had a great win over
rivals Drumgoon but were beaten by just two points by Mountnugent
in the Shield Final
Paul Hayes managed the team this year with Harry McCabe and Aidan
McCabe involved also.
Under 14s

Under 14s before Championship Final v Arva - 20th September

The Under 14s reached the Semi-final of the league but were defeated
by a strong Maghera side who ended up winning the league title. After
wins over Shercock and Redhills, the Celts got to the Roinn
E Championship Final - where they gave a great performance but were
beaten by Arva
Under 12s

The Under 12s played in the revamped Cavan set-up this year which
was in a Go-Games format. The boys won all their games but one before
the end of season blitz in Kingspan Breffni Park
Under 10s

The Under 10s have no county wide competitions to take part in but
will look forward to several blitzes, tournaments and challenge games
to look forward to throughout the summer.
